Dustin Johnson: These guys are good

Superman? The Hulk? Captain America? All may come to mind when you think of the athletic machine that is Dustin Johnson. Though most know him as a professional golfer, the athletiscism doesn't stop there. Built for power and speed, DJ spends his free time swimming, boating and working out at Coastal Carolina University's (his alma mater) golf fitness center, a facility he helped create.

Long-time professional caddie Dee Darden dies, remembered well

Mr. Dee Darden -- PCA 2001 Caddie Hall of Fame inductee -- passed away at 2 p.m. Aug. 24, 2011 in Charleston S.C. with his wife Jeannie holding his hand with family. He will have full Military burial and we all should strive to "be like Dee".

PGA Tour veteran Kirk Triplett wins the News Sentinel Open on Nationwide Tour

Three-time PGA Tour winner Kirk Triplett lifted his first Nationwide Tour victory at the News Sentinel Open Presented by Pilot at the sprawling Fox Den Country Club in Tennessee. Triplett managed to edge past the young trailblazers of the tour with a final round score of four-under, 68 to become the oldest winner on the Nationwide Tour at the age of 49 years four months and 29 days.

COVINGTON, Ga. -- In Harrison, NY, this weekend, Fred Couples made his long awaited return to competition in grand fashion, recording his first career Champions Tour major victory at the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship. Hughes wins Canadian Amateur crown

WINNIPEG - He will have to wait a year but a golf dream will come true for Mackenzie Hughes

The Dundas, Ont., native shot a 1-under par 70 at the Niakwa Country Club on Sunday to win the Canadian Men’s Amateur Golf Championship.

Hughes not only earned an exemption into the 2011 U.S. Amateur Championship with the victory, but has also been granted an entry into the 2012 PGA Canadian Open, which will be held in Hamilton — a chip shot from Dundas.

Adam Scott leads World Golf Championship by 1 shot

Scott turned his fortunes around when decided to stick what was working, going to a fade off the tee. He poured in four birdies on the back nine for a four-under 66, giving the 31-year-old Australian a shot at his first World Golf Championship.

Shreveport's David Toms captured his only major championship when he won a duel with Phil Mickelson at Atlanta Athletic Club in the PGA Championship 10 years ago. Next week, the two will be paired together for the first two rounds of the PGA as it returns to Atlanta for the first time since Toms' triumph.
